Our beliefs on . . .

God

We believe in the triune God who forever is - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in one sovereign, true, and living God, creator and preserver of all things, who entered human history in the person of Jesus Christ, and comes to live in us by the Holy Spirit.

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is God's message of salvation for all people. It is the authoritative and reliable word of God. We understand and interpret the Bible through the person, teaching, and work of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ

We believe that human beings, though created in the image of God, are now sinful and alienated from God. God acted in history to redeem sinful humanity through Jesus Christ, who alone is God incarnate. On the cross Jesus took our place, bore our sins and died our death. For this reason alone God freely forgives those who respond in repentance and faith.

Life in the Spirit

We believe that God can do more about sin than forgive it. As the Holy Spirit works, the believer is led to full surrender of the motives and will to Christ. The Holy Spirit fills persons yielded to God, frees them from the grip of sin, empowers them to live the holy life, and equips them for effective witness and service.

The Church

We believe that the church is composed of all those who receive Jesus as Savior and Lord. These persons become part of a new community who love the Lord Jesus and learn to love and care for one another. This commitment of love is expressed in worship, fellowship, discipleship and missions.

Reaching Out

Jesus Christ commissions the church to make disciples of all the world's people. The church is called to share the Good News in every culture, bringing people of all walks of life to a saving faith in Christ. The people of God are also called to be a redemptive influence in the world, seeking to overcome evil with good.

Eternal Hope

We believe that the return of Christ in power and glory is certain and may occur at any time. At Christ's return the enemies of God will be conquered and the reign of God will be established forever. The promise of our Lord that we shall live eternally brings encouragement and hope to the people of God.
